Back when I was a teenager on the internet, I hung around with a community of people and who all had websites. I had one too, hosted by someone else as a favour, complete with a blog (powered by the awesome Greymatter). Nobody really read it except for a choice few, but I thought I was cool.
Back then, “hiatus” was an often-used noun. It was a simple, one-word description that could be used to explain away a bout of inactivity when it came to site updates or blogging – “oh, I was on hiatus”. Actually, it was seen as a fairly cool thing to go on hiatus for a while and then come back with a new Photoshop-styled layout and colour scheme.
Anyway, I guess what I’m leading up to is that I can still use that phrase to explain where I’ve been. I’ve been on, um… hiatus. I’ve not just been really lazy. Honest. :)
